Western
Auto Body is a 3rd generation collision repair business. It was
founded in June of 1944 by Nickolas
Hauck. Nickolas was the father of the present owner G.F.(Gerry)
Hauck. Gerry began working in the company in July 1952 at age
15. He worked with his father Nickolas until the time of
Nicholas's death in 1976.
Gerry's son Gordon began working
with Western in February 1990, and his daughter Anne began her
career with Western in April 1990.
Western Auto Body had meager
beginnings in a small 2500 square foot shop with a
rear alley
entrance located on South Railway and Scarth Sts.,
where the
Cornwall Center presently is. At that time it
had 2
employees and Mr. Hauck.
When Gerry joined the company in
1952 Western relocated to
1313 Albert Street in a new 5000 square ft. building. Several years
later an
addition to the building increased the square footage to 7500 ft.
Western operated on that site for
approximately 35 years until
it's present facility was built in 1987. At that time Western
Auto body became the most modern, best equipped collision repair
facility in the City of
Regina.
Western Auto Body

Province with an average of more than 17 years per employee with
